Violet Violet are a four piece girl band that, since having formed in September 2003, have developed their own special brand of shouty girl punk that threatens to dominate your stereo. With influences that range from Elastica to the Le Tigre, this is a band that aren’t afraid to tell you what they think in a way that you leave you humming for days. Having just recently recorded their second self released ep ‘Songs to Yawn By’ at Sickroom in Norfolk, home to the likes of fellow girl rockers Kaito and Bearsuit, their sound has progressed into its own style of guitar driven, keyboard spangled rock with vocals that leave other bands gasping for air.
