FANTASMAGORIA, Progressive Violin Rock Band is formed by Violinist Miki Fujimoto. Miki, moved to United States at age of 11, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Miki, graduated from San Francisco Conservatory of Music majored in classical violin. Later, studied at Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia in Spain with a scholarship. And after, studied composition and jazz harmony at Pan music school in Japan where formed the members of the band. Type of music is progressive violin rock with irregular rhythms with melodic melodies - from classical essence to progressive, rock, fusion and symphonic.
In September 2004, Fantasmagoria released FANTASMAGORIA live demo CD from Vital records.
In April 2005, we played at BAJA PROG FESTIVAL in MEXICO. Fantasmagoria's energetic live performance received a great acclaim and applause from the whole audiences.
In March 2006, Fantasmagoria's performance and interview was on air in
BS Nippon Television Music TV Program 「MIT Revolutions」.
In May 2007, Fantasmagoria played at DAN DAVID PRIZE CEREMONY in ISRAEL and PROG SUD FESTIVAL in FRANCE. Fantasmagoria had gained the great admirations of the performance and the originality of the music composition.
In March 2009, FANTASMAGORIA released New CD Album- FANTASMAGORIA- Day and Night from Poseidon (Japan) and Musea (France).
Continuing to play enthusiastic live performances , Fantasmagoria is in full activity as the brightest hope of progressive rock band in Japan and in all over the world.

I really like when violin is incorporated into Rock or Pop music. That in itself makes it truly "Progressive." At times you remind me of The Mahavishnu Orchestra...Only better.
