VIRUS was formed in 1982 by a few hardcore gutter snipes:Jimmy Kontra (Throat) Chris Natz (Bass) Patrick Blank(Skins) and Jimi Human(Axe).We were old mates loitering on NY City's Lower Est Side since late seventies.Our tribe released a 12" EP "Dark Ages" on Rat Cage Records in 1984, then imploded while exploding on it's first world tour in 1985....

Hope your good! Here's our Edinburgh Punk Picnic on a small island in August. I couldn't make it over to the island with my broken foot, its a mile walk at low tide on very bumpy ground and then you cut off on the island at high tide. Events for the punks included a helicopter rescue, a boat rescue, another broken foot, being stranded and many sore heads! Good sound considering its really windy. Lou x

i was hanging out in a parking lot in Big Sur and this local kid walks by with Virus painted on his leather and i say which Virus and he says NY virus,,and i have a bunch of friends in Monteray tottally into Virus..and then i tell him about the reissue and he said..i know and i know who you are too.. freaky hah.. peace and light''
Then I consider myself blessed to have seen it. The kids loved it. Hope you are doin' all right. And yes, Dave would've been there if he was alive, but I'm 100% sure his spirit was there with us all night long.
