Vono Box is a Budapest based downtempo-lounge-balkan-break-hip-hop band of Nafta, Suefo and Parizs. Their songs appeared on international compilations like Hi-Fidelity Lounge 4 (Guidance Records), Sunset Cafe 2, 3 & 4 (Chameleon Records), White Martini (Water Music), or Monte La Rue's Deluxe 4 (United), Jazz & Milk Breaks 2. (Jazz & Milk), etc..
Nafta has also a side project under the Vono Box DJs moniker with his DJ partner Suefo. They make together bootlegs and remixes. Their works released at labels like Kriztal Records, Budapest Film, Poets Club, Chat Chapeau or Pulver Records.
Suefo made two exclusive mp3 compliation for the internet company UPC Chello under the title Chellotronica vol. 1-2. These contains tracks from Jon Kennedy, The Frank Popp Ensemble, Eastenders/!DelaDap, Deela, Montefiori Cocktail, Saint Privat, Captain Planet, Erik Sumo and loads of new hungarian talents.
He works recently on a compilation/mix from hungarian tracks. It will be the extra content of the DVD film called Binji. Will be out soon at Chameleon Records.
..Nafta & Suefo.. played already with international artists like Ursula 1000, Montefiori Cocktail, Jon Kennedy, Senor Coconut, Nouvelle Vague, Fatima Spar und die Freedom Fries, Mau Mau, Gilles Peterson, Asian Dub Foundation, Saint Privat / Waldeck, DRM, DJ Shepdog, Buscemi, Kulturni Program, Jack To Phono, M.O.C. Paoli, Tosca, DJ Shir Khan, Soundhog, TY, Louie Austen, Sophie Rimheden, Pan Sonic, Stephane Pompougnac, Ed Royal, Fat Camp, Tom Strauch, Howie B., etc... mostly in Budapest, but sometimes at the clubs of London, Beograd, Amsterdam, Vienna, Paris or Milano.
They run a weekly radio show at the legendary Radio Tilos FM 90,3 in Budapest on every Thursday afternoon (http://www.tilos.hu) and a webzine (http://www.manamana.hu) with record reviews and interviews. When you want a feature contact with the guys!
