Vunt Foom is a true musical organism, displaying a level of musical communication, spontaneity and versatility that can only be described as pro. Performing with the swagger of a downtown MC, the soul of a Philadelphia rhythm section, the searing solos of early fusion and the body-moving affect of London Junglists, Vunt Foom is certainly not for the fainthearted.
Hailing from the greater Northwest, the band brings together a fresh mish mash of styles with their debut recording. Although each member has rigirous backgrounds in jazz and classical studies, the sound is as much influenced by the band's work backing up local hip hop legends Common Market and their inspiration to simulate electronic soundscapes with analog, live instrumentation. Take a listen to their debut EP (links below) and you'll hear breaths of Soul Jazz, Breakbeats, early Fusion and downtempo Hip Hop, all packaged into one nice cohesive sound.
H2o is beautiful man! but what's with the chattering hub-bub in the background? i'd have perhaps killed one of the chatees with a swing of the Electric Guitar thus effecting a stunned silence. Admittedly a bit extreme, but none the less, this would have garnered the music the full and undivided attention it deserves.
hey... awsome music... sounds great... hopefully can meat you soon, and maybe even work together on some stuff with our partners in crime DIZtortion /I aDjust

vunt foom is like an electrical current passing through a barbed wire coil floating in an iridescent oil slick shooting fiery blue sparks into the twilight in the middle of an earthquake. there's also some crows calling in the distance, but you can't really hear them.
