Walrus began in 2005 as a 3piece pop/punk outfit that would play open mics at the old town school of folk every month. It grew into something more, as female vocals, keyboards, and lead guitar were added. After high school, the record Twenty Thousand Leagues was made and sold over 800 copies. Walrus toured 3 times to as far as New York City and made many great friends along the way. The last show Walrus played, they sold out Beat Kitchen in Chicago, Illinois.
Since then members have left, but the best has been made of the situation.
Walrus is a four piece rock/emo/pop band from Chicago Illinois and will have a new record by the end of this year. The old songs wont be played, but the new songs will get in your head just as fast. A show will come together one of these days.
