Take a ride is exactly the point! Wayside Loop, hailing from Hemet, Ca, have done exactly that in their musical exploration. Formed from the ranks of former local heavyweights, The Loop is comprised of seasoned musicians who are focused and driven. Christopher Pendergrass (Vocals/Percussion), Nick Cherry (Guitars), Tony Mora (Bass), and Garrett Spates (Drums) deliver a sound unlike that of the predictable rock uniformity. With one foot rooted in explosively heavy grooves, the other treads upon a multitude of soundscapes encompassing funk, latin/percussion, atmosphere, and even jazz/fusion elements.
In late 2005, Wayside Loop released their debut album, "Chronicles Of Sleep Deprivation", to an immediately positive response. Winners for "Best Live Band at the 2007 Inland Empire Music Awards ,the band was nominated for two Inland Empire Music Awards in 2006 as well. These nominations were consistent for "Best Hard Rock" and "Best Live Band".Their uncomprimising live show has gained much respect and praise from the many National acts sharing the stage with The Loop. Bands Such as Manntis, Bad Acid Trip, Bleed The Sky, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Silent Civilian, and Ankla have all witnessed the frenetic out pouring of Rock which is Wayside Loop.
"We feel like we can do anything," states frontman Chris Pendergrass. "We're not pigeon holed or forced into one particular sound and I think that defines us in a sense that, anything we write is organically Wayside Loop." Wayside Loop continues to astound wherever they go, from the thousands who have witnessed The Loop in and around Southern California, to the loyal fan base in their home town.
