AMELIAS MAGAZINE - "this debut introduces us to a band who aren't finding their feet but know exactly where they stand, producing a clean, established and defined sound..swathed in eloquent layers of soft, atmospheric melodies..with intricate guitar and a quiet, unfurling turbulence that slowly builds up under the textured sounds.. a sprawl of complex guitar passages, that accompanied by singer Eddie's driving shouts produces a darker, more progressive sound, and final track Marco Polo continues very much in the same vein, with a lurching yet established presence, verifying Wayter's signature sound."
THE SILENT BALLET - "Artful but never pretentious, loud but not noisy, melodic but never obvious "
"Every now and then a band will emerge from the musical underground fully-formed and excitingly fresh, with a drive and craft that astonishes in its professionalism. Wayter is one such band"
"a heartstopping melange of cathartic guitar lines and distant chanting. As its last notes fade its almost impossible for the listener not to press play and repeat the whole process once more. It’s that kind of release."
ORGAN MAGAZINE- " post-rock, nothing obvious though, just intelligent warmth and a new band wishing to challenge themselves as well as you and me. Slint-edged intelligent colourful accomplished alternative indie other rock, four impressive tracks and a quiet intensity, a calm storm of inviting ambitious warmth. Brooding gentle goodness and screams floating down on the big breeze"

Wayter are a band, and together they write songs.
If you listen to the songs you will tell for yourself.
They formed in 2007. Since then they’ve also taken their instruments to places like music venue’s by means of the bus, underground train or van, to play their songs to strangers and friends . Some of whom smile and clap their hands while others mention
intensity and loudness, the latter they can feel too, and neither of which they have any control of.
Last year the band drove all their gear to an isolated wooden village Hall in the middle of Dartmoor. During the day the drums were taken by the wind through the hills to neighboring villages, and at night eddie’s singing entertained the local animals. They plugged some leads into a box, then into other boxes, all with lights that shine nice in the dark. And they put their music down the leads until the box sounded almost like them. They put four songs in the box and the box had a baby called the Marco Polo EP. They closed the box and headed back to London.
They will take care and breed the baby and hopefully he will have a life and grow up and develop to be a good person.
Dan has recently joined to play the bass, he has a motorbike too. Dan is as tall as Oscar but taller than Juan. Eddie and Dan have both long hair and beard.
