Bursting out of Lisboa, Portugal comes WE ARE THE DAMNED a group of individuals determined to set a landmark in extreme heavy music.
Formed in September 2007 the band soon start developing their own unique musical mayhem and uncompromising attitude, latter giving birth to their debut effort for Portuguese leading label in extreme music Ragingplanet, titled THE SHAPE OF HELL TO COME.
13 tracks developed in only 8 weeks, produced, mixed and mastered by Danish veteran Palle Schultz at Tweetyhood Studios in Aarhus, Denmark after being tracked by Miguel Marques and Palle Schultz himself at Generator Music Studio in Portugal.
Being heavily influenced by bands such as Autopsy, Entombed and Anti Cimex the result could not have been more exciting and refreshing due to their own additional creativity and sheer conviction to make brutal and honest lyrics with a brilliant sense of sarcastic humor, and of course the irreverance and diabolical soul of girl singer Sofia Loureiro.
Along their yet short period the band have been playing live relentlessly and exhaustivly and supporting well knowned names in extreme music such as Napalm Death, Suffocation, Cancer Bats, Warbringer, Moonspell, Arch Enemy, Marduk, Anathema and others.
The band is currently promoting their album as much as they are ablle to and already thinking about their follow up, set to be recorded in the summer of 2009......TO BE CONTINUED
