    Biography 2001 Lleida, beginning of 2001: Jordi Castells meets Joan Ramon Mulero. Both of them are young guitar players and at the end of 2001 they start jamming toguether.2002 In spring time Jordi Castells meets Albert Arnaiz (beginner drummer) he joins the band and so creating Plowshare. At the end of the summer Guillem Tugues (an old friend of JR. Mulero) joins the band as the bassist. 2003 June the 5th: Their first concert at Smiling Jack Pub (Lleida). During that year the band starts creating their own songs. 2004 The band beggins to have a well-known name between the noob bands in the city. At the end of April Joan Ramon Mulero is interested in diferent type of music so he decides to leave the band after more than two years playing together. Plowshare remains as a trio until a new guitar player appears. New shows during the summer (Festinoval and Pepe Marín Rock Festival). A new guitar player -Juan Pedro Romero “Jota”- joins the band during summer and the 4th of them start the autumn tour with as a complete band. Their first 4-track demo “Hard Dawn” is recorded in december.2005 First gig in February (Barcelona), at the Emergenza Festival. The band supports In Extremis in Tàrrega, and plays at the Directe Festival in April. They win the fifth prize of the Directe Festival and the first prize of the San Ignasi-Instituts Music Contest in June. Plowshare plays at “Sant Miquel” party in Lleida with more than 1500 spectators. Also plays at In Extremis tribute in december and records the definitive demo “Hard Dawn” (pre-production of the first album, beginning of 2006). 2006 Plowshare gets into the studio between February and March. The recording the demo-CD “Here comes the Plowman” (10 tracks) is finished in 12 days. May: Plowshare plays with Ratos de Porao in Lleida, and is involved in a little pre-cd releasing tour. At the end of the year Plowshare contacts DISCMEDI -a discography of Barcelona- in order to release the demo-CD. “Here comes the plowman” is released in December’06. This is the beginning of a new stage in the life of Plowshare. 2007 The most ambitious tour till the moment begins in January. Also during the first half of the year the band finishes all the songs of the second album. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BIOGRAFIA 2001 Lleida, principios del 2001: Jordi Castells conoce a Juan Ramon Mulero. A finales de a..o, empiezan a quedar, interpretando versiones y haciendo jamming. 2002 Jordi Castells conoce Albert Arnaiz (bater..a principiante) a principos de a..o, y d..as despu..s deciden hacerle la prueba. Ya con bater..a en el grupo, deciden buscar un local de ensayo. Y lo encuentran, en Montoliu de Lleida. All.. los primeros ensayos del grupo se hacen realidad. A principios de mayo del 2002, entra en el grupo el bajista Lloren.. Llaberia. M..s tarde trasladan el local de ensayo a Alpicat, donde a..n estan hoy d..a. A finales de ese verano, Lloren.. deja el grupo por falta de tiempo, y un amigo de la banda, el bajista Ivan Gonz..lez (bajista de Cauldron) lo suple. En septiembre hacen la primera insonorizaci..n del local, y encuantran bajista fijo, Guillem Tugues. 2003 Despu..s de algunos bolos cancelados, en junio del 2003 realizan su primera actuaci..n, en el “Smiling Jack” caf..-rock de Lleida (por fin!!). La progresi..n del grupo empieza a notarse, tocando versiones cada vez m..s dif..ciles, y ya algunos temas propios. 2004 El 2004 es un a..o m..s prol..fico por lo que se refiere a conciertos. La banda se comienza a consolidar entre los grupos jovenes de la ciutad de Lleida, que son todos ellos muy variados en estilo. A finales de mayo, por algunas diferencias con el bater..a Albert Arnaiz, y diferentes conceptos con Jordi Castells de c..mo tiene que funcionar una banda, Juan Ramon Mulero decide dejar el grupo, despu..s de m..s de dos a..os tocando juntos. Plowshare se quedar..a como trio hasta que apareciese un nuevo guitarrista. En mayo graban un primera maqueta, de 6 temas. Nuevas actuaciones en verano del 2004, seleccionados para el Festinoval y el Pepe Mar..n Rock Festival. Tambi..n en la misma ..poca encuentran nuevo guitarrista, Juan Pedro Romero “Jota”. Se inician los ensanyos con ..l, hasta que la banda vuelve a estar lista: El cuarteto se estrena en octubre con dos actuaciones. En diciembre se enregistra la primera maqueta por pistas: “Hard Dawn”, con cuatro canciones. 2005 Primer concierto en febrero (Barcelona), en el Festival Emergenza. A finales del mismo mes telonean a In Extremis, en T..rrega, tocan en abril en el festival de musica “Directe”. En junio ganan el primer premio del concurso de rock “Sant Ignasi-Instituts 2005? En septiembre Plowshare toca en la fiesta mayor de “Sant Miquel” de Lleida, con casi 2.000 personas de p..blico. En diciembre se participa en el homenaje de In Extremis y se grava la definitiva “Hard Dawn”, pensando ya en el primer disco (para principos de 2006). 2006 Plowshare entra en el estudio en Febrero del 2006 para grabar el demo-CD de 10 temas titulado “Here comes the Plowman”. Se termina el trabajo en una dozena de d..as, y en Mayo estrenan temporada tocando con los Ratos de Porao en Lleida. Participaci..n en Junio en el concurso “Pepe Mar..n Rock Festival”, consiguiendo una lograda tercera posici..n. Se presentan las canciones del CD durante el verano en varios conciertos, y ya en Octubre empiezan los contactos para la edici..n dels disco. El disco “Here comes the plowman” sale oficialmente al mercado en Diciembre del 2006, con el sello discogr..fico DISCMEDI. Es el inicio de una nueva y emocionante etapa para el grupo. 2007 Se programa la gira mas ambiciosa hasta el momento, con conciertos por todo el estado Espanol. Tambien durante la primera mitad de ano se acaban de pulir los temas que faltan para el segundo disco. 2008 Principios de año: Albert Arnaiz es sustituido por Joaquin Castañ y Aleix Duaigües para la grabación del segundo disco. No es una decisión fácil, después de tocar juntos durante 6 años, la banda ha tenido que dar un paso adelante. Las sesiones de estudio, programadas para Enero, tienen que posponerse hasta finales de Marzo debido al cambio de batería. El disco se mezcla en verano en Musiclan Studios (Figueres) y se masteria en Finnvox Studios (Finlandia). En Octubre se cierra un acuerdo con DISCMEDI para lanzar el disco al mercado en Noviembre. A partir de ahí comienza la gira de presentación. 2009
