No passado dia 16 tivemos uma grande surpresa preparada pelo pessoal da Irmandade Metálica. Antes da nossa actuação passaram este vídeo, que agora queremos partilhar com todos vós.
Para quem não sabe hoje faz 8 anos que o David deixou de estar fisicamente presente nas nossas vidas, ocupando apenas o lugar nos nossos corações e no nosso pensamento. É com saudade que ele é lembrado. Foi uma pessoa que tocou a todos os que tiveram o prazer de privar com ele e de o ter como amigo.
Sabemos que estás connosco sempre que pisamos o palco, pois ainda és parte da família Web.
Saudade, raiva, injustiça, tudo isto por vezes vem ao de cima e é quase insuportável o sentimento que nos rasga a alma.

The conception of the Web began almost two decades ago...
During 1986, a pair of roadies of the most important metal band in Portugal named Tarantula, decided to create something new so that they could express their fatal passion for the sacred sound the all mighty heavy metal.
Along with several live performances, sharing the stage with bands like Ancient Rites, Cadena Perpetua, Cradle of Filth and Paradox, as well as with Anger, Mindsnare, Moonspell, Procyon, Ramp, Tarantula, Thormentor and W.C. Noise, Web recorded several works.
In 1993, the track "A New Evil Kingdom" appeared in one of the most important compilations of the portuguese metal scene called "The Birth of A Tragedy". The demo "Evil Tape", produced by Lus Barros from Tarantula at RecnRoll Studios in Portugal, surfaced in 1994 with tracks like "Planet of Confusion" and "Without Mercy" being considered the most exciting.
During 1995, Web returned with another proof of vitality simply named Promo Tape containing two tracks: "Strong Winds, Strong Waves" and "Last War". The first track was included in a 1996 compilation of portuguese metal acts containing over 20 bands, under the name of Hypermetal.
To pay homage to Tarantula, Web recorded their version of "The Candle" that was part of the double disc tribute album "20 Anos de Tarantula", including portuguese and brazilian bands.
Unfortunately, Web's history has its tragic moments. In 1997, vocalist David Duarte left the band due to serious health problems, which later took his life on May 24th, 2001. His body has passed, but both his soul and memory remain in Web's collective and individual lifes.
In the Winter of 2002, Web entered RecnRoll Studios again to record their debut album entitled World Wild Web, produced by Luis Barros and mastered by Tommy Newton in Hannover. It was edited by Independent Records in March 2005.
Since then, Web have been performing all over Portugal, promoting their album, gaining more experience and conquering new fans...always playing with passion, intensity, and simply brutal Energy!
