There are millions of people in this country opposed to the current war. When you see a statistic "40% of Americans support the war," that means that 60% of Americans do not. I am convinced that the number of people opposed to the war will continue to rise while the number of war supporters will continue to sink. Along the way, artists, musicians, writers, and cultural workers lend a special emotional and spiritual power to the movement for peace and justice. Rebellion often starts as something cultural...........................................................................................
The challenge remains. On the other side are formidable forces: money, political power, the major media. On our side are the people of the world and a power greater than money or weapons: the truth. Truth has a power of its own. Art has a power of its own. That age-old lesson-that everything thing we do matters-is the meaning of the people's struggle here in United States and everywhere. A poem can inspire a movement. A pamphlet can spark a revolution. Civil disobedience can arouse people and provoke us to think. When we organize with one another, when we get involved, when we stand up and speak out together, we can create a power no government can suppress.......................................................................................................................
We live in a beautiful country. But men who have no respect for human life, freedom, or justice have taken it over. It is now up to all of us to take it back........................................................................................................-Howard Zinn.

“The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it? A Death! What's that, a bonus? I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you live in an old age home. You get kicked out when you're too young, you get a gold watch, you go to work. You work forty years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You do drugs, alcohol, you party, you get ready for high school. You go to grade school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a little baby, you go back into the womb, you spend your last nine months floating, and you finish off as an orgasm." - RIP George Carlin
BARNETT!!!! WE NEED TO MAKE THE MUSICS, FOR SERIOUSNESS. Lordy! What is your week like this week? Next week? I hope you are doing tremendously; you are tops.

Hi. I don't know if you remember, but we "talked" a couple of times months ago. But that's not the point. I just wanted to say I really love what you are doing now. Work has been (still is) taking all of my time, so I hardly have time to listen to music I'd really like to listen to. I am glad I spent my little bit of time on these songs today.

I started talking to sean from ajj because, he was wearing a kols shirt, and i was telling about the time you came and played in here at (kc) and how you and i traded shirts. I ended up losing that kols shirt and went to order through hush but they were out. I told him this and he was like, "you wanna trade shirts?" So we did, and we were both happy, he got my sweet western snap shirt that fit perfectly and i got a kols shirt back. So long story short those guys are rad.
Hey Ben, just wanted to congratulate you, your staff and the students for a great job on Saturday. It was cool seeing the reaction of the crowd as the songs started. One parent said it was as if he was transported back to 1980 but his son was the one playing guitar. Check out the video of the Pre-show footage that I shot. Here is the link.
