We Heart Arts is a non-profit organization that works to raise funds for children’s creative arts programs around the world. We are trying to build a creative future for children via the goodwill of humanity and through creative means. The goals of We Heart Arts are rooted in the belief that children should be given the opportunity to express themselves creatively from an early age. It is common knowledge that creative programs can often be low on the priority list of educational systems, therefore making them less than par.
We Heart Arts believe that;
i. Creative arts teaches young people the value of lifelong active personal expressionism
ii. Creative arts teaches young people to question the world they live in
iii. Creative arts teaches young people that thinking outside of the box is an important mental function in life
iv. Creative arts teaches young people to engage in a social network of proactive young people invested in a community built on meaningful, sustained ideas and expressionism
v. Creative arts opens up a world of opportunities for young people to grow and help others through arts therapy
vi. Creative arts can open up an avenue of communication for children with learning difficulties
vii. Creative arts can help children process and work through traumatic experiences
viii. Creative arts can provide peer interaction and a sense of community, independence and feelings of control

I think I know exactly what my part of the cover is going to look like, also. Just saying. I'm excited.
I'm just going to surprise you with my cover in the mail though, once it's done! No telling!

Thanks for being a Tapes subscriber!! I don't know what goes on with that side of things. I'm sort of chief liaison officer and do most of the recordings and head the artwork organisation. All the html and podcast jiggery pokery is beyond me...
Unfortunately the Joan of Arc poster fell through but the image is nice enough to do just an art print. So hopefully that'll emerge in a few months time.
But the Magnolia El. Co. is on. Its going to be a two-part screen-print with Sunset Rubdown as the other half... Should be interesting.

Things are going well here thanks. Been plenty busy with art and stuff plus I now co-run a nice little podcast with a friend, where we record acoustic sessions in our basement. Its loads of fun and means I get to listen to awesome-great choons!

There really does need to be more art and music in schools. Art lessons as I remember them were too structured and were about learning how other people painted, which is important of course, but there wasn't enough time to just create something you wanted to do. The same with music, you were told you were playing up and being naughty as soon as you started trying to play something on an instrument that wasn't part of the lesson! Kids would enjoy it more at an early age if they were allowed to just experiment and not have a fixed curriculum.
Yes I would love to work with you at some stage! I've watched the video, mine might not be quite as good quality but i'll have a go. I'm gonna have to write my whole beginning speech down and everything, no way it's gonna look that natural. I'll sing in front of anyone but ask me to talk about something on a video or in front of people like on stage and I clam up!! I'll certainly have a go though.
I'd love some flyers/stickers/posters to distribute too, will send you my address.
Cheeeeeeeeers :) xx

We hope that you find something of ours that will wriggle into your ears, burrow down next to your heart (in a good way), and compel you to ROB US BLIND (again, in a good way: "Free downloads, ahoy!”…that is, if Myspace ever gets around to reactivating that feature).
If you like us, please, tell a friend.
If you hate us, hell, tell an enemy!
Be well,
GUSSY

i'm going to university in sept to do an art based degree, after that i want to do a therapy course and become an art therapist and work with children, whether they have learning difficulties or disabilities or not and help them to express themselves through creative practices. drawing and painting and writing songs has really helped me throughout my life, to have an outlet for my emotions or even just to help me to relax. thankyou for adding me, i love your vision!
