ABIERTA CONTRATACIÓN ABIERTA CONTRATACIÓN ABIERTA CONTRATACION Petit was born in Joan's (read as Joan Miró) bedroom while watching himself dreaming about firefalling airplanes and heartbroken little kids dancing like a pinball from side to side of beautiful Mallorca (look at google earth to found out more). Then Paradise on earth came along, and the kid grew scratching behind his ears.
Songs. Love. Tears. Loneliness and friends.
So Pep joined the Sound on guitars and try to get a band together. Without any sort of fashion. Just the pure sound of amps&guitars. The elegant man, baptized as Quique filled in with some sounds scattered subtly in Joan Songs.
Then we needed a drummer, so we chose a guitar player to get behind the kit.
Instant love crushed on red wine and magic was in the air during a summer not as hot as the one preceeding. gigs at the beach, at clubs, at little bars and at a theater opening for The Wedding Present. Yes. Them. We thought they were a bit quieter, and I (Joan) had to apologize for trying to reach the public present subconcious in a very Subtle way (meaning..... nice, softly and caressing with sound)
Our first E.P. is called "Soulsaver Bird".
We got a ver surprising 2nd position at the rock contest SONOPALMA 06, held in Majorca this past may and with a jury with famous Mr. Ordovas from cool RN3, Carlos Galan (Subterfuge Records); Juan Santaner from Love to Art, Sergio Marqués, director for musical magazine Mondo Sonoro.
Selected by Mondo Sonoro (the best musical magazine in Spain with Ignacio Julià Ruta66) as one of the best demos of 2006.
Un dels personatges més inquiets de la nostra escena independent nacional, Refree, alter ego de Raül Fernandez, presentarà a Biniatró el seu quart disc, “Els invertebrats” (Acuarela, 2008). En aquest concert estarà acompanyat pels músics de jazz que en aquest últim treball han arropat les seves fràgils melodies pop.
