California rafting and California white water with one of the oldest rafting companies in the Western United States. Established in 1978 in Sacramento, California, our home base for our trips meet in the Coloma Lotus Valley just off of Highway 50 at Camp Lotus. We specialize in river trips on the American River for beginners, novices, intermediates and advanced rafters. In the Northern California region, we also do river rafting on the Klamath, California Salmon and Scott rivers. Get more information from California whitewater rafting site for other rivers and outfitters.

The rafting trips are based mostly in California from the Central Valley to the Oregon border. My favorite times on the river include those trips with friends who can hang on wilderness trips over a few days of rafting. That means no amenities except for the glorious open sky and river beaches that beckon a rafter camping. Two days is the minimum for river trips! Those of you who are just too busy can get your fix on a quickie one day rafting trip on the South Fork American or the more wilderness trip on the Middle Fork American. Then there's the North Fork American that sometimes scares the shizzle out of me along with the raging Cal Salmon, a class 5 run way up in Northern California! Wha'evahhhh... but some of us have to go more than once... or twice... or maybe you just need to rack up time on the river like you do skiing a 100 days on the slopes. It doesn't matter as long as you get out there on the river each season with your best buddies... R U hearin' me grrrrlfriends?
Guides that work for us like to paddle on the river and the ocean. Rafting, kayaking, surfing, skating... it's all the same mental trip, if you know what I mean. Mz Maggie is a bike freak who snowboards and runs a shop up in Reno, Nevada. She is hardcore on the bikee. Gran-T surfs myspace from his Harley after rafting and snowboarding all day. Liz rides a fixed gear around Sactown guerilla traffic scene; no brakes... Solly living & surfing down in Newport Beach. Mac is back after filming the "Deadliest Catch." Alex is back in Cali... Eric from Chicago is living large in Tahoe & looking very "Euro-trash" in his club jacket and ready for W.E.T. rivers. Betty's blogging as usual on her UPteenth blog site. Wolf is back from Peru and living close by... YEH! He's boofing and hunkin on big pecan drops. Heffe's on the slopes corralling the peeps. RyanH is the oarsman taking charge of the wilderness trips with his, ahem, special brand of humor. Andrew & Julie have convinced Steve that's there are other ways besides his! Ha! Dax is Mr Concierge at a Tahoe resort, Booty has all the snow kitty groupies... meow! Bird is in culinary school (sous chef anyone?) ARmac is still in Brasil kayaking and doing video productions. Jimmy is MIA in Greece. And Dougie is old-school skating in pools in the Bay Area and the rest of the crew is boofin' on esoteric river creek madness class 6 shiz or something, and the rest of us lolly around waiting for the guests to arrive or we go to Paris, Costa Rica and surf or hit Australia's big waves like Markee... I mean, what's a paddler to do when they're not on the water? Just blog away, I guess...
W.E.T. River Trips has been blogging on the net even before there was Blogger! First starting on the old Geocities site (now Yahoo!), we converted the California Whitewater Rafting blog onto our website and kept writing the never ending journal. When Blogger arrived, we jumped onto that since it was a lot easier to publish. Check the oldest rafting blog in the West!
From those early blogging beginnings, W.E.T. is now producing a news element for river rafting news and other paddling and surfing news.
