Hong9 (Chadburger, Find The Spot) and Jeff (a big, fat nobody) started ...Whatever That Means as a project with two other friends for one show, Trash & Jeff's Punk Rock Reception, but they really enjoyed playing together and decided to make it something a little more permanent. After returning to Korea, Trash (formerly BBLT) started playing bass, and a few months later, Alex was added as the band's final piece on lead guitar.
