Modern rock, classic rock, alternative rock, country (I don't listen to country radio anymore. I boycotted it when they boycotted the Dixie Chicks), blues, classical, and old skool R&B. Last concert Alanis Morissette, Matchbox Twenty , and 3 minutes of Mute Math with Katie on 2-28-08. WOO HOO! Time to go to a concert! My short wish list (besides those I have already seen): Paul McCartney, Brandi Carlile (CHECK), Billy Joel, Bryan Adams, Van Morrison, Don McLean, and ???? I so enjoy going to concerts-have seen many of my favorite artists and look forward to seeing many more. Music has gotten me through some of the best and worst times of my life. All the ones shown are the soundtrack of my life! I have learned more about people by listening to their favorite songs than by talking with them for hours. When I was doing social work, I would often ask clients to bring me the 10 songs that define them and their feelings. This was particularly great with kids and those having problems expressing themselves in typical talk therapy. I plan to use this also when I start counseling.
