"Simply beautiful and amazing. [Five Stars] I have heard only a few tracks (free ones from MySpace), but what i have heard completely hit my ears with the greatest music from an independent artist ever. The few minor flaws are quite easily outweighed by the greatness of the group. In short, buy this album. Shadows Lie? On my top ten list." -- iTunes Store
"This is one of the most talented and promising new rock acts to come out of New York City in years. They are truly talented artists with a unique sound that is all their own and their album reflects that." -- Bill Klatt multi-platinum Producer/Engineer (Days of the New, Bjork, Garbage). http://billklatt.com
"talented songwriters who fuse guitar rock with electronica" -- Bob Leone, Director of the Songwriters Hall of Fame. http://songhall.org
"Thats the SHIT" -- Todd Terry, multi-platinum producer/dj (Sneaker Pimps, Moloko, Everything But the Girl)
"holy pissed off girl! YES! guitar tone is great. i love these vocals! no offense to evanescence, but theres no raw quality in that music likes this. this song is heavy. backing vocs are really tight, the whispering is hot. super production. your engineer knew what to do. that acoustic in the background really adds a lot. you sold me on this one, amazing job." -- Garageband.com
"Echoes is a first-class piece of alternative rock with an intelligence that will appeal to adult sensibilities. Hard rock and metal fans of all stripes will appreciate Echoes' rawness and emotion. In short, this is a good album and Shadows Lie obviously is very good at what they do." -- Lithium, Femme Metal Reviews Online

Rising from the New York City underground, the music of Shadows Lie is a dark, intense blend of heavy guitars reminiscent of Staind, Portishead-like electronics, Days of the New type acoustic guitars, and vocal stylings ranging from Tori Amos to Incubus. The songwriting is distinctive and intensely emotional yet concise and mature at the same time.
Prior to the recording of their debut album “Echoes”, Shadows Lie worked with noted producers such as Bill Klatt (Days of the New, Rolling Stones, Garbage) and Todd Terry (The Sneaker Pimps, Bjork, Everything But the Girl). The music of Shadows Lie is a unique, fresh sound that melds sonic strength and emotional vulnerability. They cite among their diverse influences Tori Amos, Tool, Incubus, Alice In Chains, Bjork and The Crystal Method. The often times aggressive yet hauntingly beautiful music that results invokes comparisons to Alanis Morissette and fellow female-fronted rock bands Evanescence and Lacuna Coil.
Vocalist Kira Leigh started playing the piano at the age of five and began performing as a singer at the age of ten. She attended North Carolina School of the Arts as a music major and moved to New York City shortly after, where she met CT Tamura and began writing the music of Shadows Lie. CT has written and produced tracks for RCA Records, DoughZone Records (Universal), TVT Records, Warner Bros Pictures, Rough Nation Films, CBS, MTV, and VH1. He has also worked as a producer and songwriter for New York-based modern rock projects such as KarmaCycle, Heidi Fly, and Grayzone. Kira and CT joined forces with Frank Grullon, who has extensive experience playing both classical and rock guitar in the South Florida music scene. Frank helped co-form Anodize, which is a band that fuses modern rock with electronica elements. On drums, Marco Britti was brought in to complete the lineup. Marco has extensive touring and recording experience all over the world with artists such as Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez.
Shadows Lie will be extensively touring throughout 2009.
