Whiskey Romance have struck a nerve with diverse crowds of discerning music fans young and old alike while sharing the stage with national acts such as Th' Legendary Shack Shakers,The Independents, and Time Again among many others.
A band that defies classification Whiskey Romance was born out of an obsessive passion for all music. Combining late 70's punk rock energy and ethics of the Clash, the sawdust rhythms of Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr, the spontaneity of Django Reinhardt and the hooks of pop legends Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison; the trio refuses to be pinned down.
Since forming they have played rockabilly festivals all over Fl, released a 6 song self titled e.p. A 12 song live disc, entitled "Whats Causin all this?" followed by a live full length dvd of the same name.
In 2008 they also contributed a track "Give an Inch" to the Skratch magazine compilation cd distributed at select dates of the 2008 Vans Warped Tour, as well as a soon to be released full length LP due out in early Dec. 08.
The band, who feels most at home on the road, gathers the energy that fuels their often rowdy stage presence from their audience.
Most of the songs, filled with lyrics ranging from train hopping and hitch hiking across the desert, to poverty, politics, and alcohol induced black outs, have been quoted as being "unpredictable" and often leave listeners guessing,...."whats next?"
