Formed in August of 2008, the members of White Knuckle Battery joined forces to fulfill the dream of a close friend that passed away in May of 2008. Shannon “Princess F’n Hacksaw” Maginn was a fixture in the East Coast underground metal scene and a dear friend of the individual members of what is now know as White Knuckle Battery. She dreamed of this line up becoming a reality and encouraged the members to work together. Faced with the tragic loss of their beloved Princess, the band came together to create the straight up, in your face, metal band that would make her proud and rock the world the way she knew it would. White Knuckle Battery is not out to reinvent the wheel but rather create metal that appeals to metal & rock fans of all genres. Drummer Mike Dishman and bassist Dave Fugman set the stage with a mix of metal, rock & funk influences that provide the foundation for guitarist Ed Savoy's heavy riff oriented rhythms and shredding lead guitar. Riding this wave of rolling thunder front man Joey Mauceri delivers vocals that range from mellow-melodic to pure growling death. Its no wonder Melissa Cross has called Mauceri a “world class screamer”. Live, the band delivers adrenaline-fueled performances that shock the unsuspecting and drive the avid metal heads into mosh pits from hell. White Knuckle Battery is the byproduct of influences from the last 30 years of metal. Metal as defined by bands ranging from early Black Sabbath to Pantera is alive & coursing through the veins of the members of White Knuckle Battery. This is definitely a band for all metal fans; metal in its purest form not a tread or fashion statement. The band is recording its debut album at Wally Cleavers Recording Studio in Fredericksburg, VA with the infamous Jeff Covert. With the addition of manager Sean Roberts, former senior A&R guy from TVT Records from 1993 - 2006, as band manager, the band is shopping for a record deal and touring the East Coast/Mid-Atlantic region in the interim.
