WHITMAN - WHITE SUNRISE - LP
"You may remember hearing the name of this record at some point a few years ago, which would not be much of a suprise since this album has been in the works for a little over five years now. This is Whitman's fourth full-length, and outdoes all of his previous work in just about every way. Recorded to tape at the Pixel Palace (rip) in Riverside, Ca. by Gilbert Loera and including more guest musicians than you can count on your fingers, one could say that this is his masterpiece (at least at this point). This is a collection of thirteen songs, choked out in smog and violence, dark and dusty. Lonelier than ever, voice raising high and loud before cracking. Comes on a white vinyl LP with pro-printed labels, housed in recycled record covers with two-color silkscreened artwork by Tara Tavi, and a small book. Limited to 530 copies."

"Here is a split that will take you from one end of the emotional spectrum to the other within minutes. It has two new offering by each artist. Whitman gives you a psychedelic jam on how to make Riverside the ideal homeland utilizing fireflies as well as a cover of a song by I.E., stripping this club song down to ukulele and percussive noise. The Treasure Mammal side on the other hand brings a jazzy, electronic life lesson, and karma-tic Casio ballad. Black vinyl, with inserts containing lyrics, and covers designed and printed by Matt Hart. Limited to 337 copies."
