Reviews etc...
"A band with a great sound, sense of humour and above all else, passion for what they do. Evoking the Kings of Leon, the bands laid back brand of updated classic rock conjures many emotions at once. Any one song can help you relax, make you want to get up and dance, or simply make you smile." Stendahl.com
"Angeline’s catchy charms should be right up your alley" "makes me wonder why I haven’t heard more about this lot before."
David Roy, Irish News
"An epic pop-rock song adorned with an effortlessly monumental chorus. Echoes of British Sea Power in its relentless build and needling guitars though, thematically, JSC cover more conventional ground. Still, it's a blistering song, one that maintains a sense of intrigue whilst being immediately and powerfully engaging. B-side 'long may you reign' is a folksy effort, as full and crisp as a barrel stuffed with apples. Rather than Knock you off your seat with rambunctious riffs or profound ideas, this track is a graceful and tender effort redolent of autumnal walks in the park. Lovely."
AU Magazine
"Our favourite new band of 2008"
Rigsy, BBC Across The Line
"a sultry blend of pop with a dash of country thrown in for good measure.."
Tom Millett, BalconyTV
"This song [Long May You Reign] by John Shelly and the Creatures is just bloody lovely and is soundtracking a Northern Ireland tourist board Advert. There’s no better advertisement for the Belfast scene right now."

Biog:
The band formed in February 2007 and soon after released their first EP " Big Day Out". Following this and a large number of live dates the band released their first single "Angeline" to much critical acclaim. The track racked up numerous plays on BBC Radio 1 and also the BBC Radio Ulster "Across the Line" show, U105fm and Phantom Fm in Dublin. The band consists of four full time members two of which hail from Dublin and two from the North of Ireland. The band have most recently been recording their new single "Long May you Reign" in Windmill Lane recording studio in Dublin. They are influenced by a wide variety of genres and are not afraid to mix things up when it comes to recording and playing live. With comparisons being made from the likes of The Band to Low and even at times The Killers, it would be nearly impossible to sum up John Shelly and the Creatures into just one sound.
