Bio:
Will Monotone was born in Boston, U.S.A. At an early age his love for music started from going to local under 21 night-clubs in the Boston area. Growing up, Will was influenced by some of the biggest Djs and producers such as Carl Cox, Victor Calderone, Junior Vasquez, Francois K, and Danny Tenaglia.<
In 2003, Will got his first chance at playing for a "Big-Room" which was the once world acclaimed Avalon-Boston. In 2004, Will moved to New York City where he attended the Institute of Audio Research. He started playing various venue's such as Avalon-NY, The Green Room, Crobar, and Spirit. Soon after Will started producing for NYC's Kult Records. His first release featured the vocals of house music legend Alan T. titled "Here in Spirit."
With great success from "Here in Spirit," Will moved onto working with other labels such as Fatal Music, Rok-It Recordings, Hamachi, The Land Of Voodoo, and many others. Along side those credential's Will was also running his own After-Hours night in NYC called "Hush" at the Green Room, which later his label "Hush Recordings" was derived from.
In 2006, when "Hush" closed its doors Will decided to take the label and his production career full steam ahead. He started remixing names like DJ Vibe, Kobbe, Austin Leeds, and Ralph Falcon just to name a few. Will has been featured on international radio shows such as "Soul Good with Bill Fragos" (Australia), "Mix F.M. with Paul Rhody" (Portugal), "Slanted House Radio, with D-Lav & Shlavens" (U.S.A.).
In 2007, Will teamed up with close friend and Hush Recordings label manager Nikos Toscani to start "Hushtek" a label catering to the minimal and techno crowd. Hushtek has had support from some of the biggest names in the business and continues to grow each year.
In 2009, Will still strives to out do himself with each production and continues to rock dance floors around the U.S.A. Will is preparing for his first mix compilation titled "Beat Driven" to be released on Moist Music late 2009.
Will has remixed bigger names like Presslaboys, Ralph Falcon, and D-Unity to labels like Roger Sanchez's Stealth Records and Steve Porter's Porterhouse Recordings. Will has been supported by likes of : Peter Bailey, Richie Santana, DJ Boris, Danny Tenaglia, Kobbe, Austin Leeds, Jaimy, Tom Stephan, Behrouz, Danny Tenaglia, DJ Dan, Victor Calderone, Peter Gelderblom & Chus and Cebbalos With so many accomplishments and credits to him at such a young age he is without a doubt an artist to look out for.
