The genesis of Will of the Ancients occurred in the winter of 2002. Started by guitarist Tristan Biggar and vocalist Andrew Alush as a raw black metal band, bassist Stephen Walton, guitarist Yura Ukraman, keyboardist Colin Attlesey and drummer Chino Deville soon completed the first incarnation of Will of the Ancients. They soon penned a demo entitled Cold Grim Times, which soon gained notoriety in the Toronto metal underground. Though this lineup would not last, the band was reborn in a stronger, more evolved form as drummer David Gold, vocalist Jordy Steinberg and guitarist Tom Gendron joined the ranks and began writing for a full length album. David Gold eventually left to focus on his own band, Woods of Ypres, but no time was wasted finding a replacement in former Blood of Christ drummer, Jason Longo. Invigorated by the new addition, the band went on to craft ten distinctive, relentless and fiercely epic songs, released in 2006 as the self-titled album through Northern Storm Records. Embarking on a series of live appearances, Will of the Ancients solidified its growing reputation as one of the premier metal bands in the Ontario metal scene, delivering energetic performances and honed songwriting. Playing alongside Behemoth, Vried, Stormlord, Martyr, Neuraxis, Manegarm, Bal Sagoth, Quo Vadis, Augury and Wolven Ancestry, the band broadened its horizons, building a loyal following across North America. Unfortunately, circumstances led to Jason, Jordy and Tom leaving the band over 2007 and 2008, and though this upheaval left Will of the Ancients temporarily in tatters, the search for dedicated new members continued. In the summer of 2008, a solid new lineup was brought together, featuring members of Horde of Worms, A Weapon of Choice and Detsorgsekalf. Energized and eager to take on the world, 2009 sees Will of the Ancients setting ever higher goals, working on bold new material, and preparing to devastate expectations on tour!

but by payment) for individuals. If John Smith in London, England
wants his own Zebulon Kosted album, I will make a 45 minute album (one
side of a 90 minute tape), 2 hand drawn mini posters, I will name the
album after him (Zebulon Kosted - John Smith), and the fan will retain
all rights to the recording (for use of any future release, sampling,
or broadcasting rights). One copy of the album will remain in my
personal collection, and one will be sent to the customer, so that the
only copy that will be in circulation will be John Smiths copy! Each
album is available for the ridiculously low price of $10 (not including
shipping), and will be shipped in its completed form no later than 6
weeks from the date of purchase!!!
