Formed in the rural wastelands of County Durham, North East England The idea for Winds of Genocide came about in late 2005 during some heavy drinking sessions and after Kat (vokills-ex vocalist of Old School Death metal band Morstice and Heavy Doomrockers Blessed Realm) and Glynn Hall(ex guitarist of Crusty Death Grinders Revolt and Sludgepowerviolence/HCnoisefreaks Hara Kiri)were getting restless of not being in a band after a few years each in the musical wilderness.
The founding members of the band have had problems finding other members/people to complete the line up who are into such underground extreme punk-metal music in the Durham city area who can play drums and bassguitar, this area seems to be polluted with trendfollowing posers who arent interested in such music but last year we eventually found a likeminded person in the form of a Swedish guy called Linus who is now playing drums (and doing a Killer job!!).
Since Feburary 2009 the band have been furiously writing and working on songs/material as a three piece and are ready to bring APOKALYPTIC DEATH CRUST to this foul stinking rotting world!We currently have a few songs fully completed.An EP is planned for early 2010 which will be titled "The Arrival of Apokalyptic Armageddon".
