Projeto dos dj..s brazucas se expande pela máxima personalidade e rótulos minimizados
Muitos Djs brasileiros tem se revelado em todos os cantos do mundo. Mas pelo tempo de existência, a dupla do projeto The Witchdoktors merece aqui uma atenção especial: com residência no Clash e Vegas, os Dj..s Fab e Matt, responsáveis pelas batidas que enfeitiçam os amantes de boa música eletrônica, voltam da Europa com novidades musicais.
Ao longo do ano, o projeto passeou por mais de 30 apresentações, sendo elas nos principais clubes como o extinto Lov.e, SPKZ, D-edge, Pacha, Kraft, Delux.e, tocando ao lado de nomes como D_nox, Olivier Giacomotto, Markus Schulz, Greg Kobe e Mashtronic, além de festas por todo o país. Com 2 anos de vida, já tiveram apresentações internacionais destacando na memorável na Love Parade em Bogotá (Colômbia), um dos maiores eventos de música eletrônica do mundo, e nos clubes de Berlin (KitKat Club) e Londres (Club 54).
Nas atuais apresentações, a dupla injeta novas influências musicais vividas lá fora e até o final de 2008, se prepara para lançar as próprias produções
Para quem ainda não conhece o duo que carrega uma bela bagagem histórica nas cabines: Fab é o nome que está por trás da festa Techno Route na qual coleciona elogios há 5 anos, já se apresentou algumas vezes no "Clubtronic", tradicional programa da rádio Energia 97 de São Paulo e desde cedo dividiu espaço com nomes como Olivier Giacomotto, Gregor Tresher, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, PET Duo, Murphy, MauMau, entre outros; Matt, além de sua residência no Atari Club com o projeto Killabunies, teve apresentações de destaque ao lado de grandes artistas como Dusty Kid e Tocadisco e tem boas influências musicais adquiridas durante o período em que morou na Itália e Portugal.
Um dia começaram a tocar juntos, músicas que gostavam de ouvir e nunca tocavam em seus respectivos sets. A partir deste momento, descobriram afinidades musicais que levaram ao rápido surgimento do The Witchdoktors. Matt leva influências européias que vão do electro ao minimal, enquanto Fab domina as perfeitas mixagens que dão precisão ao projeto através de batidas perfeitas.
Sempre ilustrando uma proposta diferente do tradicional, The Witchdoktors é reconhecido pelas batidas intensas e crescentes, administradas por vocais envolventes jogados no meio do groove para brincar com o patchwork eletrônico musical, seguido pelas vertentes do house e techno como progressive, minimal e electro.
The Witchdoktors project, formed by the dj duo Fab e Matt, started despretenciously almost 2 years ago and has been getting e-music lovers and party producer’s attention. Their notable and exciting set didn..t stay only at the main parties and clubs of Brasil: recently they were invited to play in Bogotá, Colombia, at the Love Parade among other important parties with major line ups.
One of the main characteristics of the duo is the dispute they have on the decks with each other, and between grooves and heavy bass-lines of house and techno music, they seduce the “electronic patchwork” lovers, uniting elements that draw the bold and original personality of the project.
They already performed at the pillars of the underground and mainstream clubs of Brasil such as A Lôca, Susi in transe, Vegas, SPKZ, Clash and Pacha, always presenting something different from the traditional things you hear everywhere.
To try and label The Witchdoktors style would be minimize their personality: the project consists in a happy fusion of genres through an amazing musical repertoire and transitions that honor the duo..s dedication, amuse party people and e-music lovers. The scope of the world..s emusic is so intriguing for the DJs, that it became very hard for them to see the limits in something that grows, spreads and recycles itself so profusely.
The Witchdoktors already performed side by side with many important names such as D-nox, Olivier Giacomotto, Markus Schulz, Greg Kobe and Mashtronic and by the end of 2008, they plan to perform their own productions Live P.A and release their first album.
Matt comes with great experience acquired in tours through out Portugal and many performances, some of them together with artists such as Dusty Kid and Tocadisco, Because of his passion for electronic beats and rock..n roll, Matt brings to the project the influences from electro to minimal.
One day they began to play together the songs that liked to hear and never played on their own sets. From that moment on, they discovered musical affinities that quickly led to the sprouting of The Witchdoktors.
In a perfect combination of styles and personalities, The Witchdoktors surprises wherever they go, in an expedition that only ends when the music stops.
