Consider us Cincinnati's version of hip day shows á la South by Southwest. Stop by Washington Park (across from Music Hall in Over-the-Rhine) for drinks, food, music and mingling on Saturday, Sept. 29, during the last day of the annual rock 'n' roll event, MidPoint Music Festival.

We'll be hosting live bands - Pearlene, Bad Veins, The Sundresses and 500 Miles to Memphis - starting early in the afternoon and leading up until MidPoint kicks off with its pre-party that night.

Best of all, the event is RAIN or SHINE, thanks to some swank tents we'll have set up around the park. So even if it's a cloudy day, you can see your favorite band no matter what.

WHEN: 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29

WHERE: Washington Park,1203 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine

PRICE: $5 donation or free with MidPoint wristband; benefits the School for Creative and Performing Arts

ETC: Beer, water and food available, with proceeds benefiting SCPA.
