    ..Freeform radio!..
The Wizard is Chicago's only freeform radio station. Freeform radio means that you can hear any type of music whenever you turn us on, day or night.

At any given moment you could be introduced to something new and exciting, wild and weird, and sometimes even nice and familiar! We always say, if you don't like what you're hearing right now, change the dial--but tune in 5 minutes later and you'll hear something TOTALLY different--and you might just love it!

punk, funk, hiphop, house, experimental, noise, gameboy, klezmer, rock, blues, jungle, classical, spoken word, comedy, folk, tuvan throat singing, bollywood, country, psychobilly, cabaret, industrial, swing, acid jazz, awkward dead air...the sky's the limit

Don't you hate it when lame Rock bands from Chicago, whom you foolishly befriended months ago, randomly appear in comment form to invite you out to their inane shows as if they believe you're gullible enough (you know gullible isn't in the dictionary, right?!) and/or lacking in a social life to actually come hang? Me too. Good thing we're not much of a band or this would be awkward! Awkward like the first dance between two hormone raging teens going through puberty, haha! Alas, it's us, Oui Si Only You, in our most impersonal social networking form. Sorry to get you all excited to read your new comment only to be disappointed like a jilted lover on prom night. It's not all bad, at least we didn't do one of those weird, "Do you like me?" comments, right? I don't think our fragile hearts could have taken the answer to that one! Any who, we're rocking (I know, debatable right, but whether it's master debatable remains the ultimate conundrum!) our last few shows for the year out at a few splendid, unknown little Chicago establishments called Double Door (1572 N. Milwaukee Ave; 21+) on Wed. Nov. 18th at 8pm and Reggie's Rock Club (2109 S. State St.; 17+) on Sat. Nov. 28th at 7pm. We could all perish happily . . . if that's possible . . . knowing you came out and mocked our uninspired /downright ignorant brand of music along with our A.D.D. riddled stage energy. Peace face.

    New Fifty Foot Hose CD!

    http://anthologyrecordings.com/release.asp?album=FOgIMVzZlkK

Recorded: live on March 16, 2003 at the Beta Lounge in San Francisco

In 1967, San Francisco’s Fifty Foot Hose were certainly one of the innovators of a sound that took Psychedelia to new heights and was captured on the band’s one record, Cauldron. They are a totally unique hybrid—on one hand pulsating bay area acid rock, on the other, fractured electronic freakery, becoming one whole cohesive being. The sci-fi-ish video game-like artwork hinted at the sounds within, as did the Limelight label’s pedigree for truly progressive sounds. Band leader, Cork Marcheschi, used homemade electronic devices to create crude and experimental soundscapes and instrumental compositions that were sprinkled throughout the album.

Often starting shows with a swelling rumble that exploded into the first song, they soon developed a rabid following on the SF scene, though there was the occasional totally wrong gig, like when a very-pregnant Nancy had to perform at a Catholic Girls’ school! Still, the group wowed the crowds, performing with greats like Chuck Berry and Fairport Convention.

"DJ Monkey …soul-stirring, excitingly edgy music…just disturbing (read ‘mind-f**king’) enough to demand attention. There is a whole spice rack of auditory flavors here, served up like fractured poetry on a collection of intensely listenable Hallmark cards from Hell."

    Fatima Hajji Summer Review:

    http://img56.imageshack.us/img56/4157/summereview09.jpg

Only two dj's have performed at the three most important Electronic music festivals over Spain-(Monegros, Electrosonic and Aquasella), being Fatima one of them. She has spend the summer making clubbers dance. And now, many people are aware that Hajji means trae Hard Techno and exhausting sesions.
