1996 the band "clark nova" has been formed by Borko and Sawj as a progressive rock band. The formation changed in 1999 with Sultan Kerim and Bassmaria Bruchsal. After roundabout 100 gigs the band had a jour - fix in the local "Red House Blues Club".
2004 the band broke with the name "clark nova" and paused nearly two years, after the Club has been closed by the city administration. While Bassmaria lived down on the Marshall Islands he suggestef to call the band MEAN. Meanwhile some digital stuff and remastering of old songs took place, and the first unplugged concerts with the new Name MEAN were popping up.
2007 fully intrumentalised MEAN played the first Clubs with thier new live set.
2008 Schurke and Doussa-Res joined in the band.
In the same year MEAN began to play thier Poetry meets Rock concept in clubs.
For this special Programm the semantics acrobat Maurice enrichs the Rockband with his slampoetry.
For 2009 an album is planned at perplex studios and some good gigs are on the horizon.
