    I was born in city Zlin in Czech Republic. Since I was a little girl I have always had a passion for music. All my childhood I have been signing in choirs and competing in talent shows. When I was thirteen, my older brother inspired me as I watched him play the guitar and listen to all the classic bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Queen and Bob Dylan...At this time he brought me home my first six string guitar. He showed me my first three basic guitar chords and I went from there. This took my heart and soul and I practiced for hours daily. When I was sixteen I was in my first band called Horoscope and after a while in another band called Premier ( in my home town, where I sang and played the guitar). At the age of eighteen I moved to Prague and joined professional band Accord. My life then went on and I had two children and immigrated to Canada in 1991. When I arrived I taught myself English. I went through some very difficult times but music always seemed to get me through the worst of them. I was inspired by personal experiences and other people around me to write songs. I started to play live music with other musicians, and I finally got the strength and courage to record my first CD Contradiction. CD "Contradiction "was nominated for Hamilton Music Award 2007. It features 12 of my originals. Produced by Danny Z in Blue Tilt Studio in Hamilton. I would like to give credit to my new bass player Ray Poirier and my new keyboard player Sandi Stirling for hard work and love for my music. I will be releasing soon my second CD "Diplomatic dream" On drums: Steve Negus El. guitar on Broken English (cover) one of the original co-writers Joe Mavety Up wright base on 4 songs - Peter Sisk El. base - Ray Poirier Key boards - Sandi Castle 12 string guitar, some keyboards - Yitka Karlik, vocals, harmonies on all songs Danny Z. some keyboards and percussion's Recorded,engineered, produced, mixed by Danny Z. from Bluet tilt studio Hamilton Canada Co produced by Yitka Karlik 11 original songs by Yitka Karlik Mastered: by Mr. Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray at Acoutech.
