Reading, music, films, pop culture, star wars, chuck palahniuk, the simpsons, comic books, superheroes, cool stuff, teaching, things that waste time, pugs, playing guitar, blaming things on Bush, cookies, girls who smell nice, brunettes, making mix CDs (it is an artform that I excel at), writing stories where offbeat/weird stuff happens, making references to Onan and seeing who gets it, saying things that will eventually get me sent to hell, trying to be more like Jesus (actual Jesus, not the Pat Robertson/Jerry Falwell version), Screwdrivers (the drink not the tool), inventing new nicknames for my dog, Bookstores, trying to be more like Bono,Target (pronounced Tar-jay), buying CDs/DVDs the first day they come out, steaks, grilled chicken, screwdrivers (the tool) , trying to be more like Chuck Norris, saying inappropriate things at formal gatherings, shaving the back of my neck using a CD as a mirror, trying to be more like Homer Simpson, fighting 'the man', antidisestablismentauthoritarianism, naming pets after Star Wars or Lord of the Rings characters, playing with action figures, and blowing your mind!

About me: I'm an adjunct professor of composition and American Literature at Radford University located in Radford, Virginia (its near VA tech). I play guitar and I have a pug named Yoda. I love music, movies, and pop culture. I love the Simpsons (my all time favorite show) and The Office (my current favorite... but 30 Rock is gaining) and the Daily Show which I use in class whenever I get the chance. My favorite Bands are U2, The White Stripes, The Who, REM, Springsteen, The Beatles... just to name a few. My favorite Writer is Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club, Choke, Haunted). I also research graphic novels (comic books). I enjoy the works of Frank Miller (Sin City and The Dark Knight Returns which I teach as part of my intro to American Lit class),Alan Moore (Watchmen, V for Vendetta)and Neil Gaiman's Sandman. I'm a big fan of film, I grew up with Star Wars and remain a big fan. I also enjoy such diverse films as The Godfather, the Indiana Jones films, American Beauty, Austin Powers, Donnie Darko, The Sixth Sense, and Kill Bill. I am a regular contributer to Geoff Klock's blog Remarkable: Short Appreciations of Poetry and Pop Culture my stuff can be found at the following link

I would wish you a Happy Earth Day but, while I care about the enviroment and all, the Earth Day vibe is a bit too granola for me. So I will stick with "Hi. Happy Wednesday" :)
They forgot the dot indians.... and why are the white people dirty hillbillies? Well.. i guess the crazies who made this only had themselves to model after....
Don't judge me! I pretty much like all genres of music... including pop. So yes Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Beyonce are on my playlist. you'll be happy to know that my profile song is now Fiona Apple :)
Agreed..it does take a little getting used to. That being said, there are songs I instantly fell in love with. "Moment of Surrender" is fantastic, in my humble opinion. Do you have an early fave from the record?
It is expensive! They are offering payment plans for tickets this year, apparently. It is in Manchester TN...no clue where that is to be honest. I just have to decide if I can tolerate a 3 day outdoor festival.
Pffft- the weather is no obstacle as today I found out that not only can I lie out of my c*nt but I can also control the elements! I have all sorts of powers, apparently. Impressive, I know...
