The Young Ginns formed in the Winter of 1991 whilst Justin & Brandt were stranded at Tim's house in D.C. while on tour with Unwound. Since young writers could be termed "Young Ginsbergs", what of instrumentalists? Young Ginns, of course. Sharpie "Four Bars" tattoos, polo shirts & all. After Tim moved out west, the concept was fully realized. While they were constantly annihilating the Red House basement night after night in a delusional SST frenzy, Brett crawled out of his hole, and in a Nyquil stupor began acting out his wildest Darby dreams. What began as math rock fantasy transformed into a punk rock nightmare. .. ..The results:.. .. 6 song 7" ep - Gravity Records 1993.. 1 song v/a "Julep" cd - Yoyo Recordings 1993.. 13 song complete discography cd - Honeybear Records 1998.. .. .. .. Members also played in The Vile Cherubs, The Nation of Ulysses, Unwound, Replikants, Worst Case Scenario, Concentrick, The Fucking Champs, plus several other top secret factions which I'm not at liberty to divulge at this time. -

Thornburg Mortgage shares rose nearly 20 percent Tuesday after the company, which provides large residential mortgages, said it successfully raised $1.35 billion in a last-ditch effort to avoid bankruptcy.
In a statement late Monday, Thornburg said it sold subordinated secured notes with an initial 18 percent interest rate, warrants to buy common stock at 1 cent a share and a stake in some mortgage assets.
