Yo Yo Mundi formed as a band in 1989 and released 8 albums. They played a thousand concerts mainly in Italy and Europe.
Their latest approach in making music is fed by their love of books and the seventh art. Yo Yo Mundi's new soundtrack to Sergej M. Ejzen--tejn's first film Strike - Sciopero - Stacka (1924) has been widely acclaimed, also following a tour in London's
Barbican Centre and various arthouses across Britain.
54 by Wu Ming, the follow up book to Luther Blisset "Q", inspired them an album containing songs, readings and atmospheric moments of reflection upon the making of post-War Europe.
Their latest work is about the Italian Resistance movement. It's titled Resistenza and confirms their eclectic approach by proposing a series of homage songs, new tracks and a DVD with some moments of their live performance with various guests including Italian rock padrinos The Gang.

Yo Yo Mundi's latest work is a soundtrack to the 1910 silent film "The Fall of Troy" (La Caduta di Troia) by Giovanni Pastrone.
This film anticipated the highly influential film "Cabiria" and inspired new ideas for a live show with the film and the music.
To go with the music and the screening of a recently restored copy of the silent film there are also readings taken from Homer and Lindsay Clarke "The War at Troy".
