Johann oeuvre professionnellement depuis 2006 pour différents domaines de l'illustration, comme la presse magazine ( Khimaira n°14; Faeries-n°23; Computer Art-septembre 2007-n°103...), le jeu de rôle ( apokryph/ ubik; Trinité/ Respell...), le jeu vidéo ( Mitalwar/ Futurn), l'édition (Eons; Rivière Blanche, Nestiveqnen, Atlas), les produits dérivés chez Colexia et illustrathèque, et pour le monde de la musique pour les visuels.
Son artbook "Egrégore" est édité par Colexia/Artbook éditions en 2006 et il participe à l'artbook collectif "Colex'Art" en 2007 chez le même éditeur. La même année, il fait aussi partie des artistes sélectionnés pour l'artbook collectif du web site Café Salé sorti en septembre 2007.
En 2007, Johann reçoit le prix Art & Fact qui récompense l'illustrateur de l'année, prix décerné par des illustrateurs professionnels français au salon international de la SF de Nantes "Utopiales".
Depuis 2007, Johann s'investit dans un collectif zombie en créant des illustrations et des matte painting destiné à des manifestations autour de ce thème fédérateur. Le site: www.zombieharbor.com

Hey! juste un petit coucou parce qu'en déballant les nouveautés de chez Volumen, je tombe sur le bouquin CFSL. NET (9782916739410) et je l'ouvre par hasard à la page 151, et que vois-je? "Forest man" de Johann Bodin... En tout cas joli bouquin, et pas trop cher avec ça... Enfin voila je me suis dit je vais lui laisser un petit com... A bientôt!
