In 1978 ZANIES COMEDY NIGHT CLUB became the first nightclub in Chicago to feature live professional comedy entertainment on a full-time basis.

Since then ZANIES has grown from a simple storefront on Wells Street to one of the top comedy club chains in the country. ZANIES is more than just a comedy club....it's an institution which regularly showcases the brightest humorists, as well as produces concerts, plans corporate events, charitable functions and presents the finest comedy entertainment in a variety of settings.

Over the years, ZANIES has had the pleasure of introducing to Chicago & Nashville audiences: Carlos Alazraqui, Tim Allen, Lewis Black, Brett Butler, John Caponera, Drew Carey, David Cross, Bill Engvall, Craig Ferguson, Jeff Foxworthy, Jim Gaffigan, Joey Guitierrez, Darryl Hammond, Chelsea Handler, Mitch Hedberg, Jenny Jones, Sam Kinison, Larry The Cable Guy, Jay Leno, Richard Lewis, John Pinette, Larry Reeb, Jerry Seinfeld, Sinbad, Wanda Sykes, Carrot Top, Robert Townsend, and many more. ZANIES, however, did not achieve it's reputation by bringing just superstars, but by providing you the BEST stand-up comedy in Chicago & Nashville week after week, year after year.
