ZAPPATiKA is an international group of musicians who live near Amsterdam in Holland, touring all over Europe. ZAPPATiKA play their own music and also sometimes perform Frank Zappa Tribute shows.
ZAPPATiKA are fronted by British guitarist/composer ZAP McINNES on lead guitar and lead vocals,
with co-founder multi-instrumentalist BATTATUTTI on the drums and general professorship in Zappology
ZOMBY WOOF ,who is rumoured to be of American origin,was next to join on rythm guitar and backing vocals,and also brings with him an alarming expertise in all things Zappa...
BONGO FURY plays percussion-xylophone and synths and sings quite a bit too,when not making animal noises and squeaking like a rabid mouse....
and then newest and youngest dude in the band is THE KID on the bass guitar and does a mean Devil,and proves the theory that some people under 25 CAN play Zappa's music very well-
....and that's about it...for now..but there ARE expansion plans for 2010,so watch this space ! In the meantime,which is a groovy time,check out this vid....its the latest 24 track master of the ZAPPATiKA theme tune THRU THE WORMHOLE recorded for a DVD project for 2010 release....
