Sup? My name is Zuby and I’m a 22 year old rap star. Welcome to my Myspace page.
You are probably wondering where I'm from. I was born in England but grew up in Saudi Arabia, where I went to an American school until I was eleven (this explains my cool hybrid accent). I then came back to the UK for secondary school, nailed every exam paper they put in front of me and went on to study at and graduate from Oxford University with a degree in computer science. During my first year of university, I discovered that I had a talent for making words rhyme. The rest of the story is history in the making.
I describe my music as ‘commercial underground’ hip hop. That means that I rap over hot beats and write catchy hooks, but I don't slack on lyricism and my overall message is positive. Zuby is not a gangster and I don’t want to be, so I’ll never sell drugs to you or threaten to shoot you in my rhymes. I also avoid boasting about things that I don’t own, like diamond chains, private jets and exotic cars. Sorry if I’ve disappointed you as ‘a rapper’ already because of all this. In reality I’m a person with hopes, dreams and problems just like you and that’s why my fans relate to me.
I have released two albums on my own record label C.O.M. Entertainment; ‘Commercial Underground’ and 'The Unknown Celebrity', which have sold over 4,500 copies independently. Both of my albums are available worldwide on iTunes, so just search for 'zuby' and you'll find them!
