We used to be called carrie okie band. Now we have nothing:
"What's in a name? For the carrie okie band, everything. Carrie is the singer, Okie is the drummer. Karaoke? Get it? The group plays a gripping kind of rock that is distinguished by Carrie's humane vocals, but you can't sing along or follow the highlighted lyrics while you drink yourself into oblivion. Unless you wanted to."
- The Boston Weekly Dig
"Watching this band live really makes you want to call up those asshole ex-band members, get your practice room back, and really try to make it work this time." - Performer Magazine
We make a videos in very few day under the deathline pressure:
Hi! I'm Okie's mom, Julie. I love your music and style! Maybe someday I'll get to come listen to you all in person. Keep belting it out and making people happy!
Thank you Fortran for coming to our show last night. It is always a good thing to see you. You kidz are tops. Like the bees knees and hot fudge. Praise Jesus!
Following your example, we have changed our name to something we like better. We are now called Alive and Awake. So we should play together some time soon to celebrate the names we have chosen. -kyle
