As 2009 draws to a close, Silicone Soul can look back on another superb year of output and touring. With the release of their critically acclaimed, self - titled fourth album and a brace of killer singles, culminating in 'Best Album' & 'Best Producer' nominations in Dj Magazine's 'Best Of British' awards.
They have also toured extensively, visiting everywhere from Murmansk to Melbourne. The many highlights included a seven date debut club & festival tour of Australia and a summer residency for their Darkroom Dubs label at La Terrrazza, in Barcelona. Also their continued residencies at Cafe d'Anvers (Antwerp) and Pressure @ The Arches (Glasgow).
There is no time for reflection however, and the guys are back in studio, with remixes for Soma, Darkroom Dubs, i Records, Seinan Music, 7Noise and Haiti Groove all to be released in the coming months and new single, "Hurt People Hurt People" for Soma Records with remixes from Bearweasel, Jairo Catelo & Master H.
Their new label compilation, "Darkroom Dubs Vol. II Mixed by Silicone Soul" will be out in March 2010 and will feature a host of exclusive, unreleased and favourite tracks from their label. With tracks & remixes from international artists including Extrawelt, Timid Boy, Klartraum, Jet Project, Martinez, Jairo Catelo, Feygin, Boris Werner, Prompt, Masomenos, Marc Poppcke, Sei A & Gary Beck and from the boys themselves.
They will hosting a series of launch parties for the compilation from March 2010.

BIOGRAPHY...

Silicone Soul are the internationally renowned and
much-loved DJ & production duo Craig Morrison and Graeme Reedie. Pioneering quality house and techno for the past decade they have proven to be one of the most popular acts on their home label, Soma Records, touring prolifically and earning themselves worldwide recognition as one of the UK's finest exports and exponents of underground electronic music.

They have held residencies at La Terrrazza (Barcelona),
Circo Loco (DC10, Ibiza), The Arches and The Sub Club (Glasgow) and now the famous Café d’Anvers (Antwerp).
They return again to La Terrrazza this summer to showcase their Darkroom Dubs label.

Equally so the duo are renowned for their production skills, with an idiosyncratic take on the house/techno sound that continues to evolve …deep, emotive electronic music.

Their worldwide chart-busting single, Right On, Right On! is now regarded a house classic. It gained them full international recognition in 2001 and catapulted them in to dance music’s A-list and into the conscious of the mainstream. Craig and Graeme however held true to their underground roots, refused to compromise their ideology and stuck a firm two fingers up to the commercial house music scene, even refusing to appear on ‘Top Of The Pops’ (BBC1).

They have produced four critically acclaimed albums of sublime deep house, techno and electronica all on Soma Records…A Soul Thing (2000), Staring Into Space (2005), Save Our Souls (2006) and Silicone Soul (2009).

Recently they have focused attentions on their Darkroom Dubs label. Regarded now by many as one of the UK’s most forward thinking electronic labels, it has become a formidable source of house and techno music. With artists including Sei A, Gary Beck, Jet Project, Afrilounge and
Mirror Music.
