Cap’n Kops is one guy. Johnny Nutsak, CO-Founder of DPS music in Montreal, QC (now run from random stops along the road).
The songs that have been written for the first E.P. (demo), "Anti-Corporate Message", were written in a barren room in Maitland, Ont., a cluttered room in Montreal, QC., and some various other places that drove me to pick up a pen and write down some thoughts. The three songs on this demo were recorded and engineered in Napanee, Ont. by Terry Benn of A Dying Race, and was produced by Terry and Cap’n Kop$. It was released under DPS music....
In Vancouver, BC , Sept. 2006. I released a second cd...a split with a friend from Halifax whome I met on the fairy to the Victoria Anarchist Bookfair. He ended up coming and living with all of us on the floor of the Creep House (there were 9 of us), and we decided to make a split cd to remember the great times we had. It is called The Smokin Split, and it was released on cd and cassette by DPSmusic, Creepcore Records, and Pickled Whale Meat.
These cds will be available across Canada throughout the year...I’ll be touring for most of the summer and....well, most of the time, so you can buy them from me at shows...they feed me (seriously). I think they are also currently available at some record stores around Canada.
As for now I am writing and recording songs with THE ROUGH SEA, a new folk project with my partner Christina. We released a full length and then toured across Canada, and now we are working on new recordings and doing a huge tour this summer...I will have Cap’n Kop$ cds with me on the road, so you can still get them from me...but Cap’n koP$ is taking a rest for now, so check out THE ROUGH SEA at.... myspace.com/theroughsea

Thursday the 25th of September, that would be the best date for us in Ottawa...I will get you on the bill for Casa Del Popolo, that..s the 24th...If you want I don..t see why we couldn..t do that whole weekend with that London show, I will probably get a Belleville show going too and of course we..ll have Toronto.
