NIGHTMARE RECORDS was formed in 1990 by current
KRUCIBLE / AVIAN vocalist Lance King known best for his vocal work with BALANCE OF POWER & PYRAMAZE.
Nightmare Records was born of LANCE KING's efforts to get his First band GEMINI and their music out to the fans. By 1992 Nightmare had sold over 15,000 copies of Gemini's first two albums!
This was Nightmare's humble beginnings....
Along with the 1995 the release of Lance's new band THE KINGS MACHINE's, Debut album "A State of Mind", Lance decided to contact local musician friends in the Minneapolis & Saint Paul metal scene to help them get their music "out there" and in doing so diversifying this little record company into more of a "Distribution center." This helped sales efforts for the label because there was more product for stores, and music distribution companies to get from Nightmare....
Shortly after in 1996 Lance set out to bring more releases to Nightmare in order to keep business solid year 'round.... even when the label wasn't pushing a new release. In 1997 this brought the birth of the Nightmare Records Internet store.
Now 11 years later, the Label has made an International name for itself for releasing only the Highest quality Progressive and Power metal bands on their label, and having a large selection of the great Heavy Rock and Metal CD's from around the world, these things and many more have made Nightmare a truely great one stop for online shoppers, stores and wholesalers to find great indie metal.
Seventeen years and over two Million CD's later, Nightmare remains one of the strongest upcoming Label/Distro of the Metal community with Lance's commitment to the music and a solid foundation built, this company is here to stay!

AMP has produced some demos and played some live. They have fought for a while but only now you feel ready for a debut album. The wait was probably not wrong. It feels like some pieces of the puzzle have fallen into place now. The word "attitude" of the band name seems most suitable for certain is this attitude. AMP plays pretty brutal, straight metal Punch in the mouth with hints of Motorhead as well as Black Label Society and former Swiss power trio Killer (the guys who probably never even heard). In songs like "Do not You Know My Name" is also a lot of traces of Swedish band Mustasch. The "President of the Human Race" is the pure Sabbath-doom in some riffs. The singer, who is also guitarist, Per "Burner" Nilsson has actually some small features of Ralf Gyllenhammar in his voice, while his solo style is more about Fast Eddie's simple but effective shreds. There are generally no frills, but effective straight and plain power chords. Two fingers on the fretboard, downtuned, heads down, no nonsense. Having that said, it's not simple. It happens constantly things in the songs, with some nice pace changes that spruce it up.
Meticulously crafted and uttely expansive, "A New Constellation" combines the best cross sections of Prog-Rock and Jazz infused Art-Metal with a healthy dose of Doom oriented melancholy.
Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes £leTriKa style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!
