Bio
..At the age of five Adrian was convinced that the Beatles were the best synthesizer band in the world. He wore out his parent's Moog Plays The Beatles tape, blasting those futuristic tunes through giant 80s headphones. Imagine his joy when just a few months later, he discovered that the Beatles not only sang and played guitars, but were also human. Well, kind of... ..Adrian’s debut album One Small Stepping Man was a long time in the making. Created over many meticulous sessions with producer Jak Housden, the songs have a warmth rarely heard outside the 1960s. Catchy vocal melodies, infectious hooks and harmonic detours make for compelling listening. The result is a beautifully understated record that shows off Adrian’s unique brand of songwriting and his years of multi-flavoured musical experiences... ..The album received glowing reviews in pop pockets across the world, and was voted the 6 album for 2008 by Absolute Powerpop. Several tracks received regular airplay on Australian radio stations Triple J, RRR, PBS and ABC Radio. Better Man’s distinctive piano riff became the opening theme song of new Australian TV show, ..A Dave in the Life.. and You are the Sun recently featured in the finale of Channel Ten’s popular TV hit, ..Recruits... He also played the Wurlitzer Ballroom in Madrid in September and promises to return to Spain for a longer tour soon... ..“One Small Stepping Man is a purely genuine collection of catchy positive pop that resounds with originality…and when it hit...it really hit. This guy is good at what he does...damn good. The 1960s leap into the twenty-first century...and the results are astounding” (www.babysue.com) ..This long awaited debut album is out now through Popboomerang records and is proving to be one giant leap in the world of pop!
