Since 2008, ADRUGAN, duet made up of Pierre-Marie Sangouard (vocals and guitar) and Laurent Boile (on drums, percussions and samplers) has been taking the listener to an autumnal, intimist and elegant world, ranging from anglo-saxon pop/folk to classy french songwriting.
At their beginning, in the wake of Phoenix or Cocoon’s french neo-folk wave, the band gives priority to the pop resiliency of the English language. Jeff Buckley holds sway over Pierre-Marie’s singing : it is shifting, lyrical and emotional.
Today, though the duet does not disavow its anglo-saxon influences, they start on the paths of a well-assumed French singing and collaborate with quality lyricists such as BD, Jean Fauque’s worshipper, Anthony Boile, Rodolphe Burger’s partner and the Argentinean essayist and poet of French expression Carlos Alvarado Larroucau.
Their music becomes tinged with rock as they redraft their repertoire in a musical space where the shadows of Alain Bashung, Andrew Bird, Léo Ferré, Arman Méliès, the Buckley family, Dominique A, Vic Chesnutt... can collide.
The audience soon responds as the duet spins its web on the net in France and abroad. Today, Adrugan’s Facebook page gathers more than 17,000 fans.
The Duet is preparing its first digital EP in French, called ‘Les Lunes Rousses’, to be released in October 2010.


Depuis 2008, Adrugan emmène l’auditeur dans un univers automnal, onirique, intimiste, entre pop-folk anglo-saxon et chanson française classieuse.
Le duo originaire de l’Oise élabore un univers d’une grande intensité basé sur un chant lyrique, sensuel et mouvant, une batterie à la fois subtile et vigoureuse, et la quête permanente de la mélodie. Adrugan cultive le romantisme au sens noble : nostalgie, tendresse, mélancolie vespérale et pics d’exaltation…
Après avoir privilégié l’élasticité de la langue anglaise, Adrugan s’engage sur les sentiers d’une chanson française teintée de rock, remaniant son répertoire au sein d’un espace musical où se carambolent les ombres d’Alain Bashung, Andrew Bird, Arman Méliès, Buckley père et fils, Dominique A et autres francs-tireurs…
Ayant déjà effectué plus de cinquante concerts dans toute la France, Adrugan a eu l’honneur de participer à la tournée « Rock On The Beach » (Rock & Folk) et de faire la première partie d’artistes prestigieux comme Tony Joe White, Louis Bertignac, Emily Loizeau ou JP Nataf…
En septembre 2009, après un disque live autoproduit et afin de sceller une première partie de parcours prometteuse, Adrugan diffuse un premier album maxi de 7 titres intitulé Gemini.


Desde 2008, el dúo Adrugan (Pierre-Marie Sangouard, guitarras y voz; Laurent Boile, batería, percusión y samplers) arrastra al oyente a un universo otoñal, onírico, intimista, con una clase descomunal; su música se mueve entre el pop-folk de influencia anglosajona y la elegancia de la chanson française.
Las prestaciones del dúo vienen marcadas por la eficacia melódica y la intensidad emocional inmediata provocada por el talento interpretativo y la impronta vocal única de Pierre-Marie.
La batería de Laurent, sólida al más puro estilo rock pero delicada y atenta al mismo tiempo, actúa como contrapunto de la voz y de las armonías que destila la guitarra.
Las samples completan la base fundamental del grupo y le aportan una dimensión cinematográfica.
Adrugan huye de la tibieza expresiva, favoreciendo el romanticismo en el sentido noble del término: la afirmación de la emoción, entre nostalgia, ternura, melancolía vespertina no exenta de momentos de exaltación álgida… ..
