Bio
.. ...... This weird, Latin word “Adversus“ was used for the first time in 1997 for a sound experiment, which sounded opulent off-key and which was accompanied by a friend with vocals, by a young artist, who was far away to call himself Rosendorn at that time. Three years later the project name was displayed out of the jewelry casket again for good ideas. A few female singers have been tested until Susanne’s voice came into Rosendorn’s life, which was missing in his visions of emotional and immense music until then. Thus the turn of millennium can be seen as the official founding year of Adversus. As a two-man project Adversus has filed for nearly two years until the release of the demo “Ein erster Funke”, which has found quite some adherence in scene and press. The project’s goal was to compose music, which strikes dead the listeners…with sounds, lyrics and associations. Everything that Rosendorn liked was to be integrated; Metal, Medieval, Electro, Folk and a lot of lyrics, all in a black-romantic attitude and many emotions. The debut with a winterly title, which was long awaited by the followers of the Duo, was released by Sonorium, and found even more fans under the followers of black-romantic and complex music. In Zillo magazine the band was titled as “Newcomer of the year”. In the mean while Adversus has grown to seven musicians, who will ennoble the distinctive sound of this formation even more. -
