About me:
Global Music Revolution Player - Music Of Many Colors - AFROGROOV - Funky By Nature - DJ/Turntablist - Cultural Activist - Conceptualist - Promoter - Creative consultant - Producer - Hello, Here I am joining one of the biggest community network online ever......with a slight delay from the schedule. Why did i join? Well......am always been described by friends as a people person so it kind of make sense to join this amaizing site EVERYBODY-HAS-BEEN-TALKIN-ABOUT.... Then there is the MUSIC!!! After exiling from my country of origin Rwanda to Belgium at the age of 3, I exiled a second time by my own will to settle in the city of London in 1996. From a very young age, I ve always been involve in various discipline of performing art. From traditionnal to contemporary and street dance via theatre through music. Of all the art disciplines I practiced all those years....there was that one new artform coming from the State that I found absolutely fascinating and mind blowing. These guys were just manipulating vinyl records on turntable but the huge impact they were generating on music, art, popular culture and especially people the globe over was a true inspiration for me. I wanted to be a DJ. There is a global musical revolution happening right now and I believe DJ's have been intrumental in bridging gap between cultures.... So much that now, people are consciously or not exposed to what would have been considered as an unconceivable and unethical fusion of sounds a few years ago....music such as Jews Reggae, Arabic Funk, Brazillian Drum n Bass, African HipHop, Gypsy Soca, Colombian Soukouss, Kwaito and the list goes on.... In a way I am very fortunate because I know something that you don't! As DJ, we have access to music that do not always have the same exposition as your usual commercial release, we as DJ get music that is even beyond what is considered as UNDERGROUND...music that will not have any airplay on your radio, that will not be available online or even available at all. I started the AFROGROOV musical movement as a catalyst that would accelerate the natural process for this fusion of sounds to reach a wider audience, be respected as a commercially viable product and to become a creative template for the future of MUSIC... May Da Groov B With U....just FOLLOW DA GROOV.

Consider this: Some argue that "Shopping is more important than voting", and that the disposition of money is the most basic role we play in any system of economics. Some theorists believe that it is the clearest way that we express our actual moral choices, i.e., if we say we care about something but continue to buy from parties that have a high probability of risk of harm or destruction of that thing, we don't really care about it, we are practicing a form of simple hypocrisy.
My space is yours... Keep it funky!! And stay conscious. All my best wishes for an energetic year 2008 Maria, Austria P.S. Visit me...in my other virtual home: tribute to MAGOU & DAKAR TRANSIT, Senegal
