Music
Pop & Alternative Worldwide Music of the past 5 centuries. Old Black Blues, Rockabilly, Gypsy Punk, Scores & Soundtracks, Psychedelic, Bluegrass, Cowboy Music (NOTE: Not the same as Country!), Big Bands, TorchSingers, 80's Rap, well let's face it everything from 1910-1994 - then after that selective weird stuff. But if my testicles were threatened with a ballpeen hammer and a lifetime of agony and dissatisfaction were on the line and I had to name my favorite musical artist of all time... I'd have to say Cab Calloway.
Movies
I own well over 8000 movies on DVD and only about a dozen porns. 4000 on VIDEO. 410 on 16mm Film. They span all genres and types. Ranging from the late 1800's to the early 21st Century. I love the classics, exploitation, horror, musicals, westerns, comedy, melodrama, sexploitation, blaxploitation, nunsploitation, cannibalsploitation, swash-bucklers, fantasy, science-fiction, german expressionists, french avant-garde, Russ Meyer, Hitchcock, Lynch, Leone, Ford, Stone, Gilliam, Cronenberg, Corman, Cameron, Spielberg, Disney, Truffaut, Fellini, Carpenter, Dante, Curtiz, Sturges (both of them), Capra, Berkeley, Whale, Milius, Bakshi, Wilder, Harryhausen, Pal, Lucas, Raimi, DeMille, Fleischers and on and on and on. Name it, I've probably loved it.
Television
I love HEROES. I like LOST, but on DVD. THE DAILY SHOW and THE COLBERT REPORT make me hate Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays - as I miss them terribly on those nights. Turner Classic Movies is an addiction. Used to be addicted to News Channels, but they just frustrate me nowadays. Due to press screenings and a personal life - I don't tend to be faithful to any programs.
Books
GEEK LOVE, PLATO'S REPUBLIC, HUNDRED YEARS OF SOLITUDE, THE SARGASSO OGRE, THE KILLER INSIDE, DANTE'S DIVINE COMEDY, FANTASTIC FOUR 48-50, FABULOUS FURRY FREAK BROTHERS' IDIOTS ABROAD, FEAR & LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS, THE FOUNTAINHEAD, OF MINNIE THE MOOCHER AND ME, THE NEW CAB CALLOWAY'S HEPSTERS DICTIONARY: LANGUAGE OF JIVE, IT, VAN LOON'S LIVES by Hendrik Willem Van Loon, Mary Shelly's A MODERN PROMETHESIS, FACES FORMS & FIGURES

Yup, it's me - Gargantuan Web Geek that's been way over-publicized and scrutinized. I love movies, flicks, films, cinema, shadow plays and the things that go bump in the night. Why do I love films so much you may ask, and I will tell. I love them because they represent a bit of everything we as a culture have to give other than smells and touch. They're art at 24 frames a second, an auditory experience on every volume and level. They're from my town and yours, and all of theirs too. They're sad tales, happy tales, horrific tales and even tragic tales - (witness all the Bush documentaries this last year) - They can be an escape and they can hold answers. They reveal about every culture that we all tend to obsess on sex and violence, laughs and tears. They're human and alien and always playing. I love Movies. Is that all that I am, you may ask, and answer you I shall. There's quite a bit to this man-child named Harry. My website tells the tale of the showman inside of me, I tell the rest. Buzz me if you've an interest to see and hear more. If not - it's my loss I'm sure. Fare Thee Well!
Creative Types. I've recently entered into the realm of producing films. Yes, that means there's a couch right over there with your name on it darling. Ahem, I mean - if you're drunk in love with cinema, and you happen to be talented. Let me hear about it. Like you, I love 5 hour conversations about the most insignificantly direly important facets of filmmaking.

Monkee Platez next offering is the OUT NOW 'Fulltilt EP' from Glasgow outfit Mr Hajika.
4 slabs of groove driven tech house...
Fulltilt original is a chugging, bass heavy track with a subtle musicality that develops throughout. Dr. Bergers remix is a stripped down deeper edit, with an infectious flow that maintains the essence of the original. Similarly to Dr. Berger, Alex Fiction strips back the layers to uncover an electronic soul which builds into an intelligently emotive interpretation, if slightly twisted. Completing the package is 'Nitemoves' which shares the big sound of Fulltilt, but with a more progressive, melodic vibe."

"In the vein of Solaris, K-PAX
and The Man Who Fell to Earth,
PROXIMA is a refreshing film full of wonder."
(LONDON SCI-FI FESTIVAL)
"If you’re looking for something different
in science fiction from your traditional lasers
and alien monsters, check out
Carlos Atanes’s PROXIMA.
Remember Proxima is not just a place,
it’s a state of mind… literally."
(NIC BROWN, B MOVIE MAN)
"PROXIMA is an endearingly off-beat sci-fi film
whose odder moments owe to the visionary
can-do determination of Spanish
underground director Carlos Atanes."

THE MYSTICAL MOVIE GUIDE)
