I am a Senior at Roosevelt High School in Seattle. I play trombone in the jazz band at school, compose for my own sextet, and play laptop in the electro-pop band THIS SPORTING LIFE. I am a member of the ambient electronic group SJENKA. I also sub in big bands around Seattle.
My big band composition FLY was honored with the 2009 Gerald Wilson Award for Jazz Composition from the Monterey Jazz Festival.
It's so refreshing to see people who play because they're passionate about and love music rather than just for a fine arts credit (like at my school..) :(
