About Amaury Gutiérrez

Amaury Gutiérrez, nace en Santa Clara, Cuba, el 9 de Septiembre de 1963. Músico completo, graduado de la Escuela Nacional de Artes de Cuba en dirección coral, con estudios complementarios en armonia, piano, guitarra y percusión entre otros. Cantautor por convicción. Su estilo, es por sobretodo una mezcla de ritmos y géneros plagados de romanticisimo con melodias que nacen del alma.

Lo descubre el destacado trompetista Arturo Sandoval en el festival internacional de Jazz Plaza de la Habana en 1989 y es quien lo introduce al afamado grupo Afrocuba, marcando el inicio en su carrera profesional. Llega a México en 1993, donde vive por 11 años. El publico mexicano lo recibe con los brazos abiertos, le ofrece la oportunidad negada en su pais de origen y graba tres discos para Universal Music de México.
