Aeon started his journeys into the Psychedelic Trance after many hours of audio coercion at the hands of trance master James Meadows. It was in those early sessions that Aeon and James recognized and gained a feel for each others individual talents. Honing in on the like aspects of this Trance symbiosis James and Sean started out to conquer the Dallas scene for the love of Psytrance.
Astral Tribe was created by Aeon, James, and Shawn (ATUM, Thump Radio, SF.,) in the late 90’s. The group focused mainly on outdoor full moon renegade parties, establishing a following of trancers that would later develop into the ever growing north Texas Psytrance community that is today. After its establishment, Astral Tribe inducted many other artists; Tim (Jirah) was one of the family members that regularly played these early events. Astral Tribe continued its reign over the Dallas Psy scene for over 5 years, periodically popping up on full moons to share their unique flavor of well blended music.
Around the turn of the Millennium, a trance enthusiast and Astral Tribe local by the name of David Green decided to throw his hat in the ring. He organised parties showcasing all the Astral Tribe family as well as many international Dj’s, Producers, and Deco Artists. Universal Mind Productions threw some of foremost influential parties of that time. Sparing no expense to ensure that every event was of the caliber that the people disserved, David Green continuously shook the foundation of the Dallas scene to the core until Universal Mind Productions disbanded in 2001.
Aeon then relocated to the beautiful Portland, Oregon where he got involved in the local scene for a while before a misfortunate event led him to a 9 month hiatus that seemed almost indefinite. When Aeon returned to Dallas, allot had changed. He and James rallied a couple of full moon parties, playing the local trance circuit here and there. But eventually the call for change came and Aeon picked up everything and moved to Southern California.
For two years Aeon basked in the San Diego sun while frequently visiting "The Ranch" outside of LA where some of the most talented and influential acts from around the world have played. Then in April 2006 Aeon returned to Dallas and started hatching plans with his old partner in crime James Meadows. Eventually they landed a residency at The Amsterdam bar on thursdays and has sparked a revival of the Dallas scene.
Aeon is back and as fluid as ever. His eclectic track selection and full on mixing brings together some of the finest in trance. This now almost twelve year pilot of the dance floor is pumping out mixes at an astounding rate. Keep your ears to the ground for Anjin bumping through your local gatherings this summer; he is not to be missed.
