The EP two sticks and six strings is a testament to what can be done artistically with hard work and faith. I have never met two more dedicated, uncynical people with purer motives or finer manners. Dan and Josh could play your town, party you and your friends under the table, tidy up in the morning, drive to the next show and write you a thank you letter before you've even realised you're awake. They represent to me everything I love about music. They are friendship, freedom, fun and passion and their music personifies this ethos. This EP is flesh and bone and this band is testament to the candor and mettle that turns van wheels, stokes throats and moves cold feet across this country chasing the map. It is documented proof that there is still hope in our moxie and gold in our grit.
Punktastic
They don’t hide behind musicianship and they don’t hide behind slick production. The tracks on offer here are a half and half split between very catchy and more reflective and difficult – they do try and stick in a shout-a-long chorus wherever possible, which is great in my book.
Last Hours
If you’ve picked up a copy of their first EP or seen them live then you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about when i call this band one of the very best in the country, and this EP further builds on that reputation they are amassing. They have grown as songwriters and the production is slicker than before, which is really impressive as its entirely self-produced. This is highly recommended.
NME "Notes From The Underground Blog"
I put their latest EP 'Two Sticks And Six Strings' on the office stereo and as many people tapped their feet (and probably thought inwardly of revolution and setting really rich people on fire) as came up to me saying, 'What the fuck is this shit?' They won't be liked by everyone - at all - but they're the sort of band who will reward the relative few who do clasp them to their hearts.
Check 'em out - you may like them or you may march to NME Towers with a pitchfork in your hand asking why I did this to you. I think they're bloody ace. But then again a) you knew that already and b) who gives a shit, right?

To be honest, I really can’t rate this release highly enough, and I just hope that everyone reading this ends up feeling the same way that I do about this band. Even if this EP doesn’t propel this band into the mainstream, it’ll propel them into my top five on Last.fm and that’s good enough for me. 5/5
We (Apologies, i have none) decided to start a band sometime in late 2006 and wrote some pretty bad songs that we thought were awesome for a while. We scrapped them all and then home recorded and put out "Done", our first EP once we had written some much better songs than our previous efforts and got a bit better at playing our instruments. We spent a lot of 2008 learning how to play the songs with some sort of consistency by practicing relentlessly and playing at generally poorly attended gigs with bands I was to never hear about again (mostly). Sometime in mid-2008 we finally started getting on shows with bands that we think are awesome regularly and that was good news. We started recording our second EP "Two Sticks and Six Strings" in September 2008 and finished it and put it our ourselves in early 2009. We continue to tour as much as we possibly can and we still strive to play with consistency. Josh plays guitar instead of drumming now, I (Dan) play guitar, PJ plays bass and Joe drums. Everyone woahs. We'd love to play your town/house/party, let us know if you'll have us and we'll sort it out.
(Thanks to everyone that has put us on, put us up, fed us, toured with us and mostly, everyone who took the time to listen to us, Ithankyouall.)
